Community Time

Strong, resilient and vibrant communities rely on Community Time.  Each month every adult in our community should consider putting aside an hour or two to contribute their body to a good community cause!  Not only will you enjoy the physical activity, ie. exercise, you will feel more engaged with what is happening around our village.

Of course, in Kuranda Region we have plenty of local initiatives in need of assistance.  There are plenty of different types of activities to choose from – choose one that suits you and give it a try!  Often it’s a good idea to set yourself a goal, for example, try the activity for 3 months, 6 months or a year.  Doing the activity a few times will give you a chance to see if you enjoy it – and if so – you can continue your commitment to that program – or switch to a new one you want to try.

Programs that engage community do best when people choose activities they generally enjoy.

If you would like to add a program to this page, please contact us.
