Hi Geraldine,
Hope you had a great weekend!
It is unacceptable to not offer Kuranda groups and residents (and the general public!) access to the complete revised KUR-World Master Plan as it replaces the current version, as per the EPBC Referral of proposed action, Initial Advice Statement and the current Environmental Impact Statement underway for KUR-World.
Not only has the revised KUR-World Master Plan been promised for over 3 weeks – our community residents and groups have been forced to contact you directly over this time to access this important document.
While you may feel it should somehow be a private document that others can only access via a printed version at your discretion – this is inappropriate.
We are entitled to the latest version of the revised KUR-World Master Plan – including the details such as “And they have specified a location for services such as residential and commercial water, and sewage treatment.” – Cairns Post 26 APR 17, as these are required for our ongoing community studies of the KUR-World development.
The quality of the maps supplied in the published documents enables us to see how the built environment sits in and on the land and the interactions with the natural features – please see minimum map set required from current IAS document samples – see below Existing Master Plan Map Set.
From these maps – we can continue investigating how the project will fall on the *actual fragile land. For example, the layout of the residential blocks are important because we need to check if you still intend to sell freehold Riparian buffer zones of multiple Federally listed ENDANGERED species – see below in blue circles.
A table outlining the significant changes from the original version to the revised version would also be helpful for all involved in the project. Thanks.
Kind regards,
jo
