Hello Friends concerned over the KUR-World project.

An advertisement was published in last week’s Tablelands Advertiser promoting an information lunch for next Wednesday the 28th September. The lunch is being hosted by The Mareeba Chamber of Commerce.

Stuart Ricketts will be there to talk about the KUR-World project. This would be very interesting, as not much information has been forthcoming thus far to the local community. It seems odd the Chamber of Commerce in another town have the ability to talk directly to Stuart Ricketts. One would think a local Kuranda community meeting would have been first and foremost in the proponents mind.

Anyhow, this is a great opportunity for representatives from Kuranda to attend.

To attend the lunch you will need to book by emailing Janet Greenwood at manager@mareebaheritagecentre.com.au or 0417 444 659

$45 per ticket can be paid by credit card or cash on the day.

We would like to know who out there would be interested in attending? This is a great opportunity to ask Stuart why is he avoiding addressing the Kuranda community and why is this mega-sub-division being forced upon us?

If the cost is prohibitive for anyone who wishes to attend we may be able to pool donations to facilitate a good representation by concerned local citizens at the meeting.
