Dear Co-ordinator General’s office and cced Craig Crawford member for Barron River and Integrated Resorts Dept,

On your website at http://www.statedevelopment.qld.gov.au/assessments-and-approvals/kur-world-integrated-eco-resort.html it states Kur-World consists of a

  • a 5-star, 200-room eco-resort
  • an 18-hole golf course and clubhouse
  • a 3 or 4-star, 270-room resort
  • a central hub precinct, including retail and dining
  • approximately 380 residential villas
  • a tertiary education campus and sport facilities, with accommodation for up to 500 students
  • a health, rejuvenation and medical retreat, with up to 60 rooms
  • a nature based adventure park with zip lines, suspended bridges and rope ladders
  • a rainforest education centre
  • an equestrian centre and farm theme park.
Expected completion 2026

However in the Initial Advice Statement (I.A.S.) submitted by the proponent it states on p. 20
‘A world-class 5-Star Eco-Resort spread over 13ha, with 200 separate double storey villas, a day spa, high end restaurant, pools, chapel/function centre, as well as other pampering facilities. ‘

This is a considerably bigger accommodation complex as the double storey chalets are likely to sleep at least two and potentially far more.

Please can you correct this on your website.

Many thanks,
Sarah Isaacs
