It has come to my attention the BARNWELL original homestead at 112 Barnwell Road Kuranda was radically improved and modified including a lifting of the structure and restumping, re-roofing, new external 350 degree decking on hi-set building, external stairways, new cladding and linings, since purchase by the new owner in 2014.

Can you please confirm the Building Permit for this work?

I have searched for the permit and have been unable to find it – see attached documents.

I am concerned the general public – including Kuranda residents – will have access to a building that has not been inspected and verified as safe for this purpose.

Your urgent attention would be appreciated.
