Willie Brim is the front man of Legendary Reggae Indigenous outfit Mantaka.

Mantaka formed in 1978 when Willie was just 18 years old. They were icebreakers of their era melding Reggae, Roots, Rock, Blues and Traditional music to create their individual upbeat distinctive sound.

“He has now reached a new stage as a traditional owner, a musician responsible for the cultural heritage of his people, the revival of their music and dance.”
“Reggae Became the Main Transporter of Our Struggle . . . and Our Love” article by Victoria Grieves

Mantaka plays regular Friday night gigs at the iconic Barron Falls Hotel in Kuranda.
