Kuranda Region Cassowary Survey

Kuranda Conservation is introducing the Queensland Government’s species database called WildNet.

This will help better understand our wildlife – and in particular our endangered and threatened species.

We are asking you to spread the word to our cassowary spotters to contribute their sightings.

Logging a cassowary sighting is easy! Call 4093 8834, email – see image right, Facebook or web form below.

All cassowary sightings in the last 5 years welcome!

Please choose the community name from the map right (click to enlarge) to add your cassowary sightings data.  If you would like to include additional details about your local cassowaries, this data will be ‘office use only’.

Thank you for your time and input on Kuranda Conservation‘s important work for cassowary conservation in our World Heritage Wet Tropics Vital Wildlife Corridors.
