the     fun d raiser

many thanks and much appreciation to our farm-hosts, the brandimarte family, to all of the wonderful presenters, to all of our amazing crew and supporters, and to all who attended the introductory day at the koah hall, and the three-day convergence at the farm.

this was the first ‘friends of the farmers’ event for our area, so everyone who participated in any way is assisting to grow our community resilience by supporting our food-growers and further localising our food system, while also accelerating our area’s awareness and participation in applying regenerative agriculture practices. in doing so we are also fostering a more responsible community guardianship for our water catchments and our soils and biodiversity areas.

there is a great movement afoot in the world for land-holders to take back their capacity of self-organising their custodianship of the living microbiology in their soils and the environmental biological systems interconnected with their land and waterways. an awakening is taking place that the large-scale production and applications of harmful chemicals on to the land and food-plants is causing major environmental damage and major damage to the health of both farmers and consumers, and the animals, pollinators and microbiology that come in contact with these toxic products in their malignant field of effect, including the run-off to the great barrier reef.

‘friends of the farmers’ would like to thank, once again, each and every one who is participating in this movement, and looking forward to reconnecting with you all for the next convergence.

introductory day

we’d like to give a special thanks to all our crew and helpers along the way…as a first-of-it’s-kind event in our area, everyone was stepping into an unprecedented co-creation and there was much collaborating and self-organising required for each step along the way.

being completely self-funded as well, (through our fundraisers and our workshop participants and kind donations) each and every one who participated in the co-creation of the event did so because they wanted to experience and contribute to the potential changes offered by the activation of this ‘friends of the farmers’ movement in our region.

your contributions have been absolutely invaluable, and we can only hope that you can look back on the experience with some fruitful and happy recollections, and also feel rewarded by your participation, and feel drawn to have continuing connectings and involvement with this on-going convergence and our overall collective intentions, inspirations and activatings…

please be in touch if you have aspirations, motivation and enthusiasm to assist in this on-going collaborative community elaboration….
